Wine Labels
Wine Label Design, September 2023For this project, I designed three wine labels, each tailored to a different target market. The goal was to explore how branding, tone, and visual identity shift based on audience.

1. Kitsune
Market Position: Casual
Kitsune symbolize good harvests, tea and sake, fertility and prosperity, cunning and smarts, and business and money; all in equal measures and all at different turns. This wine was created for the casual wine drinker, often times college students or young adults who are enjoying life while trying to find their purpose.

2. Wu Minxiang
Market Position: Contemporary
Wu Minxiang is my Chinese name and takes inspiration from its tanslations of “martial”, “quick, clever”, and “soars above others/ lucky”. This target audience is more middle-aged but can encompass those of all ages who want a more sophisticated image. Yet still love to have a good time.

3. Chateau Michaud
Market Position: Traditional
Chateau Michaud comes from my last name which is of French origin. This name is derived from the ancient given name Michael, meaning “one who is like God”. This wine was created for those who see wine drinking as an art and who enjoy learning about its origin, creation, and story. To this customer, the wine’s age, price, and type is more important than its visual.
